We’re looking for a motivated Design Apprentice to join our Design Team at SW Diss.

Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and developing corrugated packaging solutions.
- Create prototypes and samples, operate a digital CNC Cutter.
- Maintain detailed records of sample specifications, adjustments, and customer feedback.
- Ensure proper storage, tracking, and dispatch of physical samples.
- Work with production and engineering teams to ensure designs are manufacturable.
- Gain an understanding of machine capabilities and CAD software.
- Learn about the properties and best uses of raw materials.
- Liaise with tool manufacturers and suppliers for costings and artwork coordination.
- Contribute to research and development of sustainable packaging materials and techniques.
- Participate in client meetings to discuss design requirements and present concepts.

Benefits
- Wage: £25,600 a year
- Training course: Packaging professional (integrated degree) (level 6)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (37.5 hours a week)
- Start date: Tuesday 1 September 2026
- Duration: 4 years
- Potential to increase earnings over time.
- Expected offer of a Designer role upon completion.
