Key Responsibilities

Your role will be both inspiring and varied, offering direct, hands-on experience in early years:

  • Work as part of a dedicated Childcare Team, ensuring individual child wellbeing and family partnerships.
  • Keep safety, cleanliness, and security at the highest standards—emergency protocols, hygiene practices, and daily risk assessments fall within your domain.
  • Serve as a consistent, respectful role model for children, embodying kindness, patience, and professionalism.
  • Study towards your Early Years Worker (Level 2) qualification, meeting all instructional targets and submitting assignments ahead of deadlines.
  • Support children’s holistic development by planning engaging, both indoor and outdoor activities that align with education frameworks.
  • Collaborate with parents, staff, and suppliers, forming warm but professional relationships to enhance the nursery environment.
  • Attendance is required at:
    • Parent consultations (some evenings/weekends).
    • Feedback sessions, staff meetings, summer fairs, and training sessions.
