- Role: Levenmouth Academy leaver | Salary: £28.2k per annum + completion bonus
- Start Date: 5th October 2026
About the Role
An opportunity to kickstart your career through SGN’s 3-year Emergency Gas Responder Apprenticeship. We’re seeking a diverse range of motivated individuals (Levenmouth Academy graduates) to join our team. Your apprenticeship will equip you with practical skills, knowledge, and behaviours to work alongside our highly skilled operations teams—ensuring the safe delivery of gas to 5.9 million homes and businesses across Scotland and southern England.

Responsibilities
Your core role will involve supporting our engineers with:
- Responding to gas emergencies
- Installing and replacing gas meters
- Designing, testing, and commissioning internal gas pipework systems
- Upholding health and safety standards in service/repair activities

Requirements
- Academic Standards: At least 3 National 5 grades A–C (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
- Drive-to-Learn: Passion for a career in gas network operations.
- Commitment: Capacity to dedicate up to 3 years to training and education.
- Mobility: Must possess or be willing to obtain a driver’s licence within 6–12 months.
- Travel: Frequent visits to training centres (varies from home), with travel & accommodation support provided when away.
