Apprentice Engineer

The Industrial Placement Engineer, Summer Placement Engineer and degree Apprentice is an integral member of the Site Operations Team, responsible for the effective and efficient running of the site throughout the project delivery.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working, gaining hands-on experience.

Requirements

  • GCSE in Maths & Science (grade 8-4)
  • Must hold a valid driving licence
  • Access to a vehicle

Responsibilities

  • Understand and comply with Company Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental and Sustainability Systems and Policies
  • Provide assistance to the Site Engineers in the accurate setting out and control of the works, taking every opportunity to undertake setting out under the supervision of their Section/Senior Engineer
  • Gain experience of Company HSEQ systems and participate in tasks as described
  • Gain experience in materials sampling and testing
  • Undertake Instrument checks on setting out equipment and maintain records
  • Read and understand method statements
  • Maintain records of labour, plant and materials used
  • Carry out material sampling
  • Maintain as-built record drawings of completed works
  • Any other duties assigned by your line manager for the benefit of the site
