About the Role
We are a silicon design centre, a subsidiary of one of Japan’s largest technology companies, creating storage technology for consumers, data-centres and AI applications used worldwide. The finance team are critical to our success, ensuring we can design the products for the future. Will learn how a high tech company works from within.
What You'll Do
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What You'll Do at Work:
- Supplier invoice processing using Sage 200
- Assistance with Electrical Vehicle salary sacrifice scheme, invoice, and relationship management
- Assistance with Purchase Order processing
- Assistance with bank and corporate credit card reconciliations (likely in year 2)
- Assistance with preparation of accruals (likely in Year 2)
- Other admin day-to-day tasks as part of the Admin team at KIOXIA Technology UK Ltd (KIU)

What You'll Learn
Course Contents:
- Record transactional data.
- Use the organisation’s standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as, reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
- Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
- Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
- Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.
- Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
- Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.

Support and Training
You will be supported with your AAT studies by two existing members of the Finance team. You’ll be provided with training on use of Microsoft Office 365, Sage 200 accounting software and Sage Payroll as well as some aspects of SharePoint. We subscribe to Linked-in Learning, and all staff have access to it and are encouraged to utilise this learning facility.
We also provide a groupwide corporate training, which is mandatory. You will get exposure to most parts of the business, which would expand your learning beyond AAT. We would also be happy to support you with your further career progression within KIU depending on your performance.
