What You’ll Be Doing
As an Apprentice Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor, you’ll be a safety role model on site. You’ll:
- Help teams work safely
- Support wellbeing
- Follow health and safety rules

You will work in close collaboration with your Health & Safety (HS&E) colleagues to support the delivery of our UK HS&E Strategy. You'll contribute to the implementation, delivery, and review of:
- The Zero Harm Action Plan
- The Sustainability Action Plan at a business and/or project level
Over time, you'll learn to:
- Provide expert advice to support in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near miss events
- Adhere to Balfour Beatty Group standards and company requirements
This role will also provide you with the opportunity to spend lots of time on site.
Who We’re Looking For

To thrive in this position, we expect you to have:
- A clear interest in developing a career in Health and Safety
- The Ability to complete an NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice
- Potential participation in additional related courses
- A UK Driver’s License (or at least working towards obtaining one), as you will spend time on-site
