Apprentice Health Care Support Worker – Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust
Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join us as Apprentice Health Care Support Workers on a full-time clinical basis.
This career development role is perfect for those eager to build a career in nursing, providing early exposure to patient care while completing their apprenticeship.
About the Role
- Ages 18+ by September 2026 (required to work 24-hour shifts and full rotations).
- Opportunity to qualify as either:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Apprentice (dependent on current/predicted GCSE results and trust requirements).
- Successful candidates will work in busy patient areas, gaining hands-on experience in NHS care while earning a salary.
- Full support provided to develop safe, confident clinical skills under supervision.

What You’ll Do
Candidates will support patients and healthcare teams by:
- Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, moving patients).
- Helping with fluid/dietary needs and meals.
- Maintaining cleanliness (bed-making, wards,clinics).
- Supporting clinical staff with duties.
- Completing the NHS Care Certificate to ensure foundational theoretical and practical competence.
