Apprentice HGV Driver
We’re looking for a motivated and reliable HGV Apprentice to join our team in Bellshill
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a Level 2 Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) qualification while building hands-on experience in a fast-paced logistics environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
As an HGV Apprentice, you’ll undertake a structured training programme while developing key skills to become a professional driver:
- Complete the Level 2 LGV apprenticeship standard (please note that the first year will involve supporting the yard team)
- Learn to operate HGV vehicles safely and in line with tachograph regulations and driver hours legislation.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, considering articulated vehicle requirements.
- Deliver and exchange containers safely while providing excellent customer service.
- Support safe loading of vehicles to minimise product damage.
- Carry out vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and cleanliness.
- Help maintain the driving cab and load area to prevent contamination.
- Report any accidents promptly in line with legal and company procedures.
- Attend ongoing training to stay up to date with industry changes and legislation.
- Provide support to the Site Administration team where required.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone enthusiastic and eager to learn, who takes pride in working safely and professionally:
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Aged 18 or over (required for HGV licence eligibility).
- GCSEs / National 5 (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Level 4 or above).
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Good understanding of health & safety principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a positive, proactive attitude.
