Full-time and fixed term for 48 months Campus based only Please note that it is a requirement of the role for you to start employment by Monday 7 September 2026 due to college registration.

We have exciting new apprenticeship schemes in our DigiLabs E-Sports technical roles which will rotate across many of our research/teaching led academic Schools. This is a scheme where you will have the opportunity to support the learning environment for Loughborough University students in Schools and Workshops and to support leading research.

As an apprentice you will complete a programme of training, learn new technical skills and work alongside experienced technical experts. There will be a range of course options open to you and this will be discussed with you, if invited to interview.

The apprenticeship roles are a pathway into an exciting career as a technician in a variety of scientific and engineering fields.

Key Requirements:

  • Can demonstrate an interest in becoming a technician or a technical profession
  • Can demonstrate an interest in e-sports areas through hobbies or part-time work while studying.
  • Ability to take instruction and work as part of a team.
  • Good practical IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, e-mail).
  • Good written and verbal English skills.
  • Good level of numeracy including ability to handle data.
  • Can demonstrate a professional and self-motivated approach to learning in the workplace
