Our Apprentice IT Technician role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of digital and technology solutions that underpin the delivery of essential services within the built environment and utilities sector.
About the Role
As an Apprentice IT Technician, you’ll learn how to support and manage the organisation’s IT estate, working closely with experienced professionals while developing practical skills in end user device management, system administration, networking, cybersecurity, and service desk support. From day one, you’ll play an important role in keeping our systems reliable, secure, and performing at their best. As your knowledge and confidence grow throughout the apprenticeship, you’ll gradually take ownership of tasks and contribute directly to IT projects, service improvements, and business operations.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual at the start of their IT career who is keen to learn, develop, and make a positive contribution to the team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support and explain technical issues to users
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail
- A proactive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement
- A collaborative team player with a professional and reliable approach
- Interest in IT, technology, and digital services (no previous IT experience required)

Qualifications & Requirements
- A level Grades – CCC
- Irish Leaving Certificate - 96 UCAS tariff points to include a minimum of five subjects (four of which must be at higher level)
- GCSE (or equivalent) - to include minimum of Grade C or 4 or above in Mathematics and Grade C or 4 in English Language
- Applied General Award Profile – MMM
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites when required
- Must have a permanent base in Northern Ireland
