We are seeking an Apprentice Land Manager to join our growing Land team, based in Wetherby, West Yorkshire.
The Caddick Land business has grown from its establishment with over 10,000 residential units and 19m sq.ft of industrial land under planning promotion. We are continuing to expand and require an Apprentice Land Manager to help source new and manage existing projects.
Job Purpose
This role is based in Wetherby and focuses primarily on the identification of strategic land opportunities and the management of the strategic land process from inception to completion. This involves managing the key stages from identification of land and navigating planning processes with the opportunity to stay involved right through to the successful delivery of the schemes.
As an Apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced colleagues to develop your planning and spatial knowledge while supporting the identification of new land opportunities for residential and industrial development. You'll gain hands-on experience analysing planning policies, researching development opportunities and understanding the planning process, whilst learning how strategic land projects are progressed from initial appraisal through to planning promotion.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
