Salary: £15,392 to £24,784 per annum

Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed term 2 years

Location: Ellesmere Port and Chester Campuses

We are seeking an Apprentice to join our busy Learning Support team as an Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity to provide general office administration, including monitoring and maintaining the department’s shared mailbox and responding appropriately to enquiries. You will also provide efficient and effective administration support to the Inclusive Learning Advisor teams. You will also support the Learning Support Assistant Co-ordinator in managing the administration of daily timetable changes for Learning Support Assistants as well as co-ordinating the scheduling and organisation of the EHCP Annual Review cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Inclusive Learning Adviser (ILA) teams and Learning Support Assistant Coordinator, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of Learning Support services across all campuses.
  • Support the Learning Support Assistant Coordinator in managing the administration of daily timetable changes for Learning Support Assistants.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and organisation of the EHCP Annual Review cycle, including room bookings and the collation and distribution of required documentation in line with statutory timeframes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date tracking systems and databases to support statutory compliance, reporting requirements, and audit processes.
  • Collate, scan, and securely store learner documentation and evidence in line with data protection, GDPR, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Work consistently to a high level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
  • Deal with customers in a pleasant and effective manner, while reflecting the vision, mission and values of the college.
  • Attend regular meetings with the Manager and assessor and complete all components of the Apprenticeship Framework leading to an Apprenticeship Certificate in Business Administration.

Key Person Specification Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 GCSEs or equivalent (this must include 9-4 (A - D) in Maths and English Language or equivalent).
  • Competent user of computer software packages in particular Microsoft Office packages.
  • Proven ability of successfully achieving tasks and to a high standard.
  • Good IT Skills including use of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbally.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
