Apprentice Learning Support Assistant
Birch Wood (Melton Area Special School)
- Salary: £8 per hour; £15,445 per annum
- Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (All year round)
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Working Pattern: Monday 08:50am to 16:30pm; Tuesday to Friday 08:50am to 15:40pm inclusive of 30 minutes unpaid lunch break
About The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to provide Learning Support Assistance within the Birch Wood (Melton Area Special School).
The successful candidate will also work towards achieving nationally recognised qualifications.

What we are looking for:
Desired skills and Personal Qualities:
- Ability to use office equipment such as photocopier, laminator etc to support teacher with their administrative tasks.
- Ability to produce accurate and up-to-date records and reports as required.
- Ability to confidently use a computer with children and for use in administrative tasks.
- Ability to follow teacher instructions to create classroom and school displays to a high standard.
- Able to keep calm in difficult situations.
- Able to operate effectively as a member of a team.

Entry Requirements:
- GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (C or above) Essential
