Apprentice CNC Machinist
This is an exciting opportunity to begin a career in the engineering sector as an Apprentice CNC Machinist, with plenty of opportunity to learn and develop whilst working at Thurne-Middleby Ltd in Norwich.
Wage
£19,266 a year
- Minimum wage rates (opens in new tab)
- The salary for this post is reviewed at 6 monthly intervals
- Holiday entitlement is 25 days plus 8 Bank Holidays

- Machine high quality components guided by technical drawings
- Set up and run a CNC machine
- Program new jobs as and when required in the most efficient way possible
- Assist in improving methods and productivity
- Maintain safe working practices and high standards of housekeeping
- Work effectively as part of a team

Training schedule
Training will take place at REAGIT UK Ltd, C/o ATB Laurence Scott, Hardy Road, Norwich, Norfolk, NR1 1JN.
As part of your 12-month apprenticeship with REAGIT, you will begin with 8 weeks of full-time training at their centre (Monday to Friday), where you will build the core knowledge and skills required for the role through both classroom-based and practical learning.

Following this initial training period, you will attend the centre one day per week for the next 20 weeks, continuing your development through a combination of technical training, hands-on practical learning, and valuable workplace experience.

REAGIT UK Ltd is a specialist engineering training provider based in Norwich. Established in 2019, the company continues a long tradition of engineering training in the region. REAGIT focuses exclusively on engineering and technical training, with apprentices learning in well-equipped workshops that reflect real industrial environments.
Front loaded training covers areas such as mechanical and electrical maintenance, welding and fabrication, machining and industrial electrical systems. REAGIT works with employers across Norfolk, East Anglia and surrounding areas, helping apprentices develop the practical skills, technical knowledge and confidence needed to succeed in technical roles.

- GCSE in: or equivalent English (grade Grade 4/C)

Once trained, you will work on a shift system. There is a pattern of one week earlies and one week lates.
