Looking to take your first step into engineering?
At Expleo UK, this apprenticeship is designed to give you real experience from day one. Based in Preston, you’ll work alongside and be mentored by some of the most experienced engineers in the industry while building the skills and knowledge needed for a long-term career.
This is a hands-on opportunity where you’ll contribute to real projects, learn how manufacturing works in practice, and develop into a skilled engineer.

Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing and engineering teams across the full project lifecycle
- Assist in the creation and modification of engineering drawings and CAD models
- Contribute to production and process improvement activities
- Support testing, validation, and quality checks
- Work closely with different teams to understand how engineering projects are delivered
- Learn and apply engineering standards, safety procedures, and best practices
- Build an understanding of how Expleo supports its clients

Qualifications

- Predicted GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at Grade 5 or above
- Science is highly desirable
- Commitment to completing a Level 3 Manufacturing Engineering Apprenticeship
- Attendance at Blackpool & The Fylde College (1 day per week) alongside 4 days based in Preston
Essential Skills
- Any exposure to engineering, design, or technical subjects or work experience whilst at school
- Interest in how things are made or work
- Hands-on project experience (school or personal projects)
Desired Skills
- A genuine interest in engineering or manufacturing
- Strong willingness to learn and develop
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and a proactive approach
- Ability to work well in a team
What Do I Need Before I Apply
This role requires legal authorisation to work in the UK & eligibility to obtain SC clearance.
