Job Title: Apprentice Mechanical Fitter

Location: Immingham

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £9.00 per hour

What You'll Be Doing

  • Assisting with valve maintenance, repair, overhaul, and certification activities within the workshop and on customer sites.
  • Learning how to safely use engineering tools, equipment, and machinery under the guidance of experienced Mechanical Fitters.
  • Supporting the team in dismantling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling valves and related equipment.
  • Completing apprenticeship coursework and practical training as required by your training provider with day release for training.
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting the completion of job documentation and certification.
  • Working closely with experienced engineers and technicians to develop your technical knowledge and practical skills.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • A genuine interest in engineering and mechanical equipment.
  • Good practical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (or working towards obtaining one).

Qualifications

Desirable
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English.
  • Previous experience through school, college, work experience, hobbies, or practical projects.
  • Knowledge or interest in mechanical engineering, fitting, maintenance, or manufacturing.
