People & Capability Support Apprentice Role
About the Role
This People & Capability Support apprenticeship provides practical, day-to-day support to the Organisation & People team, ensuring the effective delivery of resourcing, recruitment, talent management, and culture & engagement activities. Reporting to the Head of Organisation & People, this role focuses on coordination, data management, and implementation support across the employee lifecycle to drive consistency, efficiency, and high standards in all people initiatives.
Success Measures
- Reliable and timely support for Resourcing, Talent, and Culture roles.
- Accurate, up-to-date people data and records.
- Smooth coordination of people activities and initiatives.
- Positive feedback from organisation and people stakeholders.
- Improved efficiency and consistency in delivering people processes.
Required Capabilities
Core Responsibilities
Support to Resourcing & Recruitment
- Provide operational support for recruitment, including coordination, application tracking, and administration.
- Support onboarding activities, ensuring accurate documentation and system updates.
- Maintain recruitment data, trackers, and reports for delivery and monitoring purposes.
Support to Talent Management
- Assist with performance management, development, and talent initiatives through coordination.
- Schedule, track, and follow up on talent and development activities.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of performance-related people data.
Support to Culture & Engagement
- Help deliver engagement, culture, and communication initiatives.
- Assist with surveys, feedback activities, and internal communications.
- Coordinate events, campaigns, and initiatives that enhance engagement and culture.

Data, Systems & Process Support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date people data across systems and trackers.
- Support reporting on people activities, metrics, and actions.
- Follow established processes and identify gaps for escalation.
Team Coordination & Continuous Improvement
- Provide general coordination and support across the Organisation & People team.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by streamlining processes and fostering knowledge sharing.

Profile Attributes
- Flexible and proactive self-starter passionate about skill development.
- Ability to adapt, prioritise, and manage work-face study balance effectively.
- Empathetic listener with strong problem-solving skills for client/employer engagement.
- Enthusiastic and solution-oriented, eager to apply skills to real-world challenges.
Practical Requirements
- Must have permanent right to work in the UK.
- Must have lived in the UK, British Overseas Territories, or Crown Dependencies for the last 3 years before the role start.
