Apprentice Pharmacy Assistant

We are seeking to recruit a new member to our pharmacy family in our innovative small team of qualified professionals, as an apprentice Pharmacy Assistant. For the right person, there is the opportunity to secure full-time employment and progress to a higher-level qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Dispensing of medication to patients
  • Over-the-counter sales of non-prescription medication
  • Check and monitor prescription slips
  • Health & safety responsibility
  • Rotation of stock
  • Use of patient record systems and use of smart cards
  • Data entry relating to medication
  • Labelling and dispensing
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Working within a team environment
  • Liaison with doctors, surgery and health professionals
  • Completion of apprenticeship work on time
