Apprentice Pharmacy Assistant
We are seeking to recruit a new member to our pharmacy family in our innovative small team of qualified professionals, as an apprentice Pharmacy Assistant. For the right person, there is the opportunity to secure full-time employment and progress to a higher-level qualification.
Responsibilities
- Dispensing of medication to patients
- Over-the-counter sales of non-prescription medication
- Check and monitor prescription slips
- Health & safety responsibility
- Rotation of stock
- Use of patient record systems and use of smart cards
- Data entry relating to medication
- Labelling and dispensing
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Working within a team environment
- Liaison with doctors, surgery and health professionals
- Completion of apprenticeship work on time

About The Pharmacy
We dispense NHS prescriptions and sell a range of over-the-counter medicines. The pharmacy provides services such as the NHS New Medicines Service and repeat dispensing. We also deliver medicines to people's homes.
