Apprentice Plumbing and Domestic Heating – Customer Only
Based at our regional office in Maryport, with set days out in the community and to attend college
Pay, £21,216 (under 20) - £24,853 (21 and over)
Hours, 37.5 hours per week
51 months fixed term apprenticeship, with the potential for a permanent role at the end

About the role
You’ll be a valued member of the team, learning by doing and supporting colleagues with meaningful, hands-on work. You’ll be trusted with real responsibilities while being fully supported as you develop your skills and confidence.
You’ll learn how to:
- Learning how to install, repair and maintain domestic plumbing and heating systems
- Assisting with safety checks and following gas safety regulation
- Diagnosing faults and helping to fix issues in customers’ homes
- Safe working practices and risk awareness
- Work safely, following health and safety guidelines
- Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues, showing care, respect and good timekeeping
- Progress through applying learning, working safely and gaining independence toward qualified status.
What qualification will you gain?
- Level 3 Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician, delivered by Lakes College

Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for people who:
- Achieved GCSEs in English and Mathematics grades 9-4 (A*-C)
- Are IT confident, or at the very least have a basic understanding
- Are keen to learn and develop new skills for example, communication both, verbal and written
- Share our values, want to make a difference, and thrive in a team environment
- Are organised, curious and willing to ask questions
You don’t need previous experience; we’ll support you every step of the way.
