Ready to start your career while earning a salary and gaining a professional qualification?

We're looking for someone with potential, not experience. If you're curious, motivated and eager to learn, this could be the perfect opportunity to launch your career in procurement while making a real difference to communities across Great Britain.

Whether you're finishing school or college, considering an alternative to full-time university, or taking your first step into a professional career, this apprenticeship could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

You don't need any previous procurement experience. We're looking for someone with enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and a positive attitude. If you enjoy solving problems, working with people and developing new skills, we'll provide the training, support and mentoring to help you succeed.

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Is keen to learn and develop new skills.
  • Has good communication and organisational skills.
  • Enjoys solving problems and finding practical solutions.
  • Pays attention to detail and takes pride in doing a good job.
  • Can build positive relationships with colleagues and external suppliers.
  • Shares our values and wants to make a positive difference.

Most importantly, you'll be excited to learn, ready to embrace new challenges and motivated to build a rewarding long-term career.

Have you ever wondered how an organisation like the Mining Remediation Authority purchases the goods, services and contracts it needs to operate?

This is an exciting opportunity to start a career in procurement while gaining a recognised qualification. You'll join our Procurement Team and learn how we source, purchase and manage the products, services and contracts that help us protect people, communities and the environment across England, Scotland and Wales.

No two days are the same. One day you could be supporting the procurement of specialist mining surveys, habitat surveys or emergency response services. The next, you might be helping to source professional consultancy support, office services or major construction projects worth millions of pounds.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
