We’re hiring Apprentice Producers across a variety of content roles within Bauer Audio, working with some of our biggest radio brands and production teams.
These roles are ideal for people who are passionate about radio, music, entertainment, digital content and learning how great audio is made. We’re not looking for experience, we are seeking potential, a skillset and genuine passion.
As an Apprentice Producer, you’ll support the teams who create, plan and deliver audio content every day. Depending on the role, this could include helping with live shows, editing audio, preparing content for broadcast, supporting presenters and producers, researching ideas, managing guests, working on competitions, speaking to listeners, organising content, and helping teams get ready for the next show.
Across all of these roles, the teams would like to see people who can demonstrate:
- A genuine passion for radio, audio, music, entertainment or culture
- Curiosity, creativity and an understanding of what makes engaging content
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting a team
- Good organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage different priorities
- Confidence working in a fast-moving environment and a willingness to learn new systems and ways of working
We have 5 Apprentice Producer roles available, which you can read more about below. Your application will be reviewed and considered for all of these positions.
Apprentice Producer
KISS
This role is focused on supporting pre-recorded shows across KISS and its sub-brands.
You’ll spend time editing audio, preparing content for broadcast, listening back to output and learning the technical side of radio production. Over time, you’ll build the skills to help produce smaller shows.
This role would suit someone who is technically minded, confident using or learning software, and plugged into KISS, KISS Xtra, dance music or youth culture. Experience creating content, such as podcasts, videos, social content or mixes, would be a bonus.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
