PP Controls are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to support electrical design projects and production design for the manufacturing team, providing accurate build information, technical support and teamwork while developing core engineering skills.

Responsibilities
- Update drawings and production documents
- Support NPI (New product introduction) and prepare build information
- Assist with fault finding and production queries
- Provide shop floor engineering support
- Follow health and safety regulations, standards, and guidance.
- Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance.
- Comply with engineering standards and regulations (e.g., British Standards (BS), International Organisation for Standardisation standards (ISO), European Norm (EN)).
- Analyse engineering and manufacturing data and information to support technical outputs.
- Apply scientific, technical or engineering principles.
- Apply problem solving techniques to solutions for identified technical problems.
- Organise, plan and prioritise workflow and scheduling of work with stakeholders.
- Identify, organise and use resources to complete tasks, considering cost, quality, safety, security and environmental impact.
- Produce job specific technical outputs (e.g., engineering drawings, quality control management, computer control programming, business improvement, adverse incident reports, technical investigations, equipment appraisals and specifications).
- Provide support and guidance for handover of work to stakeholders.
- Record information (paper based or electronic).
- Follow standard operating procedures.
- Follow manufacturer's instructions.
- Apply quality assurance and control principles and practices.
- Apply continuous improvement techniques.

Application Process
- Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training.
- You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
- Training provider: IN-COMM TRAINING AND BUSINESS SERVICES LIMITED
- Training course: Engineering and manufacturing support technician (level 3)
- This is a Level 3 Engineering and Manufacturing Support apprenticeship, delivered over a 36 month period
- The apprentice will attend the training centre, In-Comm Training Services in Aldridge, WS9 8UG, 2 and a half days per week for the first 14 months
