Foundation apprenticeships are introductory courses that help young people get started in an industry. You do not need to have any specific qualifications or experience to apply.
Anyone between 16 and 21 can start a foundation apprenticeship. If you're between 22 and 24, you can start if you:
- have an EHC plan
- are in care or have been in care
- are in prison or have been in prison
Working in our busy production team, you'll rotate between a wide variety of different tasks to support our senior technicians.
Wage
£12,480 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Key Responsibilities:
- All aspects of warehouse management
- Operating & maintaining small machinery
- Product assembly, testing and record keeping
- Packing and palletisation
- Making sure the workshop is clean and tidy

Factorylux Ltd. design and manufacture specialist lighting equipment from a small factory near Halifax. Our clients are architects, designers and building engineers. Our light fittings and lighting track are almost entirely plastic-free, paint-free and adhesive-free. They make a “closed-loop” Circular Economy possible, which is a first for the lighting industry.
