Apprentice – Construction Support Technician Level 3

Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire Work Schedule: 35 hours per week (Monday–Friday) Duration: 18 months practical training + 3-month End Point Assessment (EPA) – total 21 months Starting Salary (Year 1): £17,472
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Construction Support Technician to join our Property Services team in Ely.
This role will support construction and maintenance projects while working towards a recognised qualification with the T3 training provider. You will complete an apprenticeship with T3 Training Provider, combining on-the-job experience with structured learning. Around 20% of your working time will be dedicated to off-the-job training.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and build a long-term career within a supportive organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of construction and maintenance projects
- Assist with site visits, inspections, and reporting
- Provide administrative and project support to the team
- Help with cost tracking and documentation
- Work closely with Quantity Surveyors and wider project teams

Skills and Abilities

A willingness to learn, enthusiasm, and dedication

Strong practical skills including:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent), including Maths and English
- A strong interest in construction, surveying, and property maintenance
- Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Current or approaching full valid UK driving licence
Progression Opportunities
On successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to progress into roles such as:
- Trainee Quantity Surveyor
- Assistant Quantity Surveyor
