Apprentice Quantity Surveyor
At EQUANS, we're offering an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Haringey. You'll earn a salary of £21,000 - £24,000 while studying for a recognised degree qualification, gain hands-on experience on live construction projects, and develop the skills needed to build a successful professional career.
As part of our team, you'll learn how construction projects are planned, managed, and delivered, helping ensure that improvement works are completed on time and within budget. You'll work alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors who will support you every step of the way, giving you real responsibility from day one.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with numbers, and wants to develop a long-term career in the construction industry.
No previous experience is required. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated people who are eager to learn and develop.
A full UK driving licence would be beneficial but is not essential.
What You'll Be Doing
As an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor, you'll be supported by experienced professionals while developing your commercial and project management skills.
You'll learn how to:
- Support the management of project budgets and costs
- Assist with estimating and pricing construction works
- Help prepare contracts and procurement documents
- Work with suppliers and subcontractors throughout projects
- Monitor project progress and help track costs
- Assist with payment applications and financial reporting
- Support the preparation of tenders and project estimates
- Help identify opportunities to improve value and reduce costs
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues, customers, and contractors

Who We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from people who:

Essential Requirements
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above, including Maths and English
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong numeracy and communication skills
- Ability to balance work and study commitments
- Willingness to undertake a Quantity Surveying Degree Apprenticeship programme

Desirable
- Construction-related studies such as BTEC, NVQ, HNC, or HND
- An interest in the construction industry
- Previous work experience (including part-time work, volunteering, or work placements)
