Schools Mutual Services is excited to announce that, due to expansion, they are looking for an Apprentice Recruitment Administrator to join their friendly and professional team in their Head Office in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a unique and growing company.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

This is an excellent opportunity to progress and grow within the company for the right candidate who is outgoing, enthusiastic, and keen to learn new skills. The role is within a fun and friendly working environment which rewards hard work. The employer will support the successful candidate through their apprenticeship and full training will be given.

Main duties will include:

  • Ensuring candidates are fully vetted to safeguarding standards before assignments
  • Carry out our telephone pre-screens with new candidates and be confident in asking questions
  • Create and post job adverts for specific roles on behalf of clients
  • Use social media to post about current vacancies and interact with people
  • Keep the company's database updated, ensuring information input is correct
  • Updating the candidate tracking system
  • Identify areas of resourcing that need focus and provide solutions to the line manager
  • Conducting administrative jobs given by the chain of command

The above list of duties is not exhaustive, and other tasks may be required from time to time.

The successful candidate should have good IT skills, be confident on the telephone, and should have some customer service experience. Probationary period applies.

What you'll learn

Course contents

Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.

Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals. Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management.
