Apprentice Service Advisor

Drive Your Career Forward: The Holdcroft Academy Service Advisor & Parts Advisor Apprenticeship

The Holdcroft Academy is looking for its next generation of Service Advisors and Parts Advisors.

Whether you're a school leaver or looking for a fresh career change, we'd love to hear from you. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has excellent communication skills, is organised, and has a genuine interest in the motor industry.

We don't just offer a job – we offer a 12-month journey to achieving a nationally recognised Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship, giving you the skills and experience to build a long-term career within Holdcroft.

What You’ll Be Learning

Throughout your 12-month apprenticeship, you’ll gain valuable business and customer service skills while working towards your Level 3 Business Administration qualification.

You’ll learn:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service both face-to-face and over the telephone
  • Front-of-house reception skills, welcoming customers and creating a professional first impression
  • Booking vehicle servicing, repairs, and MOT appointments
  • Supporting customers throughout their vehicle journey, from arrival to collection
  • Preparing estimates, invoices, and service documentation
  • Building product knowledge across vehicle brands and aftersales services
  • Managing customer records using dealership management systems
  • Parts identification, ordering, and stock management
  • Working effectively with technicians, workshop controllers, and other departments
  • Developing communication, organisation, teamwork, and problem-solving within a busy dealership environment

Front of House Service Advisor Skills

As a Service Advisor, you’ll become the face of our dealership, learning how to:

  • Deliver outstanding customer care and build lasting relationships
  • Understand customers’ vehicle concerns and communicate effectively with technicians
  • Keep customers updated throughout the repair process
  • Explain technical information in a simple, easy-to-understand way
  • Handle enquiries confidently in person, by phone, and via email
  • Manage multiple tasks while remaining calm, organised, and professional
  • Create a welcoming, positive experience for every customer who visits Holdcroft

Requirements

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above are essential

Driving

  • A full driving licence would be advantageous, but if you're under 17 or currently learning, we simply ask that you're committed to obtaining one when eligible
