About the Role
Apprenticeships are available for anyone over 16 years of age. They offer you the opportunity to earn a wage and work full time in your chosen trade area. This means you develop your skills in a real working environment from day one and are able put the skills you learn at college, directly into practice at work.

If the answer to these questions is yes, then join our Facilities Services team where you can learn from the industry’s best, maintaining prestigious buildings and sites across the region. No two buildings or contracts are ever the same. This role will be based at our Drakes Circus contract.

You Will Learn to:
- Follow a schedule to test and maintain all heating, ventilation and water systems correcting any faults you may find.
- Read and understand engineering drawings.
- Use the Building Management System to control and monitor the electrical, heating and ventilation systems.
- Use small hand tools such as hammers, saws, screwdrivers etc.
- Implement essential safety procedures before working on systems.
- Assist with minor electrical maintenance.
- Work with other trades and gain experience from their knowledge.
- Develop strong customer service and client relationship building skills.

Training and Development
You will attend Leeds College of Building on block release to complete the Building Services Engineer Service and Maintenance Level 3 Apprenticeship. In addition, you will regularly attend in house training and development as part of the programme.

Application Requirements
To apply you need:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade C/4 or above in English Language, Maths and Science.
Please note, to be eligible for an apprenticeship you:
- Must be able to complete the apprenticeship within the required time, including the End-Point Assessment.
- Must have a valid and eligible residency status and the right to work in England.
- Must be ordinarily resident in the UK or its territories for at least 3 years before starting the apprenticeship.
