Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the well-established simulation team at NCIC as a simulation technician apprentice. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-directed, innovative candidate with excellent technical, multi-media, and audio-visual skills. The post holder will be able to provide technical expertise and support for all simulation activities within the simulation centre.
It is expected that the apprenticeship will take up to 24 months to complete.
Main Duties of the Job
- To provide first-line care and maintenance of simulation, clinical skills, and audio-visual equipment.
- To assist with preparing rooms, including simulation equipment to support training/education, teaching, courses, assessments, and examinations.
- Attend all training sessions for the apprenticeship programme whenever necessary.

Qualifications
Essential
- GCSE Maths and English grade 9-4 (A*-C)
- Motivation and willingness to undertake and complete the apprenticeship including the End-Point Assessment
Desirable
- Technical GCSE grade 9-4 (A*-C) such as ICT/computer science
Knowledge
Essential
- Knowledge of coding/programming languages
- IM&T skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Desirable
- Knowledge of Laerdal LLEAP program and sim designer
