Apprentice & Skills Development Coach (Full Training)

£27,000 - £31,000 + Full Training & Development + 37 Days Holiday + Pension + CPD + Progression

Workington

Do you have a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installations or equivalent industry experience? Are you an Electrical Engineer looking to begin a career in assessing and supporting apprentices, with full training provided and no prior teaching experience required?

This leading technical education and training provider delivers a wide range of vocational and apprenticeship programmes across engineering and advanced technical disciplines. The organisation works in partnership with major employers to develop industry-ready skills, supported by modern workshops, specialist facilities, and courses ranging from entry level through to degree-level study.

In this role, you will carry out on-site assessments and workplace reviews with Electrical apprentices, supporting their development through regular visits and structured progress tracking. You will observe practical skills, assess competency against apprenticeship standards, and provide feedback and coaching to help learners successfully complete their qualifications. You will work closely with employers and internal teaching teams to ensure apprentices are progressing effectively and meeting required standards.

The Role:

  • Carry out on-site assessments of Electrical apprentices in the workplace
  • Conduct progress reviews with learners and employers
  • Assess competency against apprenticeship standards
  • Provide feedback, coaching, and learner support
  • Track and record learner progress and achievement
  • Work with employers and internal teams to support apprenticeship delivery
  • Work towards assessor qualifications with full training provided

The Person:

  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installations or equivalent
  • Electrical Engineer or similar
  • Interest in training, assessing, or supporting apprentices
  • Commutable to Workington
