We are seeking an apprentice teaching assistant to help support a positive, inclusive learning environment. Working with teachers, they will support children’s academic and personal development, provide pastoral care, and assist with classroom tasks to help every pupil thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting learning — Helping pupils with their learning under the guidance of the Headteacher, class teacher, and SENCo, including supporting lessons linked to the national curriculum.
  • Promoting well-being — Encouraging pupils’ emotional, social, and moral development by offering support, reassurance, and positive role‑modelling.
  • Providing targeted support — Working with pupils one‑to‑one or in small groups to help them take part fully in learning activities and make good progress.
  • Supporting behaviour needs — Assisting pupils who may be experiencing emotional or behavioural challenges, helping them build confidence and appropriate social skills.
  • Carrying out admin tasks — Helping with everyday classroom tasks such as photocopying, laminating, organising resources, and keeping materials tidy.
  • Preparing learning materials — Setting up, maintaining, and organising classroom resources, so pupils have what they need for lessons and activities.
