Jumpstart Apprenticeships 2026 – Apprentice Technician Vacancies

Role: Apprentice Technician

Location: Dealerships throughout the UK

Are you 16 or over and looking to kickstart your career within the automotive industry? If you’re eager to get hands-on with one of the UK’s top three motor retailers, this is the apprenticeship for you.


Responsibilities

Our technicians play a vital role within our Aftersales team by delivering first-class customer service every time. As part of this team, your key duties will include:

  • Testing of parts and systems to ensure correct working
  • Performing repair and maintenance on a variety of vehicle parts, including:
    • Clutches
    • Gearboxes
    • Tyres
    • Brakes
    • Suspension
  • Maintaining electronic systems, including on-board entertainment systems
  • Conducting bumper-to-bumper vehicle overviews, services, and inspections
  • Ensuring all relevant paperwork is accurate, thorough, and efficient

Entry Requirements

  • GCSE qualifications (grades 9 to 4 (A to C)* or equivalent) in English, Maths, and Science.
    • In Scotland, applicants must hold or be predicted to achieve National 5 Grades A–C in English, Maths and either a Science or Technical subject.
  • We accept predicted grades and will make provisional offers based on these predictions.

Training & Development

Training is delivered using a flexible approach, combining:

  • Virtual classroom remote learning
  • Face-to-face block release weeks at our state-of-the-art training centres

Additionally, each apprentice is assigned a personal, dedicated mentor who will provide continuous support in applying new skills and knowledge gained during the programme.
