Jumpstart Apprenticeships 2026 – Apprentice Technician Vacancies
Role: Apprentice Technician
Location: Dealerships throughout the UK

Are you 16 or over and looking to kickstart your career within the automotive industry? If you’re eager to get hands-on with one of the UK’s top three motor retailers, this is the apprenticeship for you.
Responsibilities
Our technicians play a vital role within our Aftersales team by delivering first-class customer service every time. As part of this team, your key duties will include:
- Testing of parts and systems to ensure correct working
- Performing repair and maintenance on a variety of vehicle parts, including:
- Clutches
- Gearboxes
- Tyres
- Brakes
- Suspension
- Maintaining electronic systems, including on-board entertainment systems
- Conducting bumper-to-bumper vehicle overviews, services, and inspections
- Ensuring all relevant paperwork is accurate, thorough, and efficient
Entry Requirements
- GCSE qualifications (grades 9 to 4 (A to C)* or equivalent) in English, Maths, and Science.
- In Scotland, applicants must hold or be predicted to achieve National 5 Grades A–C in English, Maths and either a Science or Technical subject.
- We accept predicted grades and will make provisional offers based on these predictions.

Training & Development
Training is delivered using a flexible approach, combining:
- Virtual classroom remote learning
- Face-to-face block release weeks at our state-of-the-art training centres
Additionally, each apprentice is assigned a personal, dedicated mentor who will provide continuous support in applying new skills and knowledge gained during the programme.
