Job Purpose
As an Apprentice Welder Fabricator, you will work under the guidance of experienced tradespeople to learn the skills necessary for fabricating and welding material components. You will assist in the preparation, assembly and welding of food machinery, as well as learn to interpret technical drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.
You will operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently under supervision, and develop proficiency in various techniques, including MIG and TIG welding. You will maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

What will I learn?
You will learn core skills such as communication, problem solving, numeracy, working with others and ICT alongside the technical skills within your role.
What qualifications or qualities are required?
Preferrable Maths, English and one Science subject at National 5. A focused individual who is looking to progress in their career with JBT Marel. Strong willingness to learn. Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment. Good work ethic.
