Apprenticeship Contract Manager

We offer high-quality education aligned with approved apprenticeship standards, with an emphasis on delivering excellent teaching and learning in partnership with employer-clients.


The Role

We are seeking an **organised and client-focused Apprenticeship Contract Manager to support Coventry University Group’s corporate plan and play a critical role in the successful onboarding of apprentices. YOUR responsibilities will include guiding employer clients from the initial sales phase through to admissions and ensuring a smooth, informed transition for their employees joining our apprenticeship programmes.

As the first point of contact for employer clients, you will respond to queries professionally and promptly. Key tasks include issuing apprenticeship contracts and ensuring that all stakeholders are fully briefed on programme requirements, responsibilities, and entry criteria.


Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Enquiries

  • Respond to opportunities from both new and existing employer clients under the guidance of the Lead Apprenticeship Contract Manager.
  • Promote apprenticeship programmes and reply to incoming enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service, representing the University Group effectively.

Promoting Apprenticeships

  • Represent the University Group at employer meetings and networking events, delivering presentations alongside colleagues.
  • Actively build rapport and communicate confidently to support the growth of employer partnerships.

Employer Liaison & Adissions Preparation

  • Manage a caseload of employer clients, ensuring they are fully prepared for the admissions stage.
  • Brief clients on programme details, clarify employer responsibilities, and verify that selected staff meet entry criteria.
  • Maintain an accurate admissions pipeline and supply timely data to the Lead Apprenticeship Contract Manager for reporting.

Our Successful Candidate

You will have either:

  • A degree-level education, OR
  • Equivalent professional experience in a similar role.

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Strong background in account management, demonstrating your ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse range of employer clients.
  • Experience issuing contracts is essential, as is significant commercial exposure within a target-driven, customer-focused environment.
  • Relevant experience working in Higher Education, Work-Based Learning, or Apprenticeships to confidently support employer partners and sector processes.
  • Proven track record in networking, particularly in initiating and sustaining meaningful partnerships with employers and stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of the DfE Apprenticeship Funding Rules.
