Job Description

We are seeking the next generation of helicopter engineers and invite those with a passion for engineering, aviation, and hands-on problem solving to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Our Strategic Plan and focus on developing our future team identifies a key requirement for recruiting engineer apprentices in order to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery to our customers. Bristow Helicopters is opening recruitment for six apprenticeships which will provide extensive training over a 36-month period after which you will be employed in one of our operations. Bristow Helicopters is committed to providing an innovative training and development package to bring you into front-line helicopter maintenance.

This apprenticeship provides a structured pathway into the aviation industry, combining practical, on-the-job training with formal technical education. You will gain the knowledge, skills, and experience required to become a qualified helicopter engineer, working on some of the most advanced aircraft systems.

Helicopter engineers play a vital role in maintaining, servicing, and repairing aircraft to ensure they meet strict safety and regulatory standards.

Principal Responsibilities

As an apprentice, you will:

  • Assist with inspection, maintenance, and repair of helicopters;
  • Learn on the job how to resolve mechanical and avionics faults;
  • Work with experienced engineers on scheduled servicing and safety checks;
  • Support day-to-day hangar operations and aircraft movement;
  • Complete structured training, coursework, and technical qualifications;
  • Maintain accurate engineering records and documentation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
