Salary: From September 2026 - £8.00 per hour - Apprenticeship Wage - during first 12 months. ( If 19 years old or over, after 12 months your salary will increase to minimum wage for your age )

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Carlisle

Contract: Apprenticeship

Start Date: From September 2026 onwards

Apprenticeship Duration: Typically 18 months

Closing Date: 3rd July 2026

Interviews: 9th / 10th July 2026

About This Opportunity

As a Project Manager in our Public Transport Team, you will play a key role in delivering projects that support and improve local transport services across Cumberland. You'll plan and track project milestones, analyse business cases, and work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure progress is clearly communicated.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing project reports
  • Managing risks
  • Supporting budget and timeline monitoring
  • Ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard
  • Reviewing outcomes to drive continuous improvement across the service

This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to develop your project management expertise while contributing to meaningful improvements in public transport for local communities.
