The vacancy

Are you an experienced Refrigeration and Air Conditioning professional looking to make a real difference to the next generation of skilled engineers?

DN Colleges Group is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Apprenticeship Trainer Assessor to join our apprenticeship team. Working closely with employers and apprentices across the UK, you will deliver high-quality training, assessment and support, helping learners achieve their full potential while ensuring programmes meet industry, awarding body and funding requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with industry expertise who is passionate about developing talent, building employer relationships and supporting apprentices to achieve successful outcomes.

Essential Criteria

  • Level 3 qualification in Refrigeration and/or Air Conditioning.
  • Relevant industry experience within the refrigeration or air conditioning sector.
  • Experience of training, teaching or assessing apprenticeships, NVQs or vocational qualifications.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire apprentices.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to employer sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support a caseload of Level 3 apprentices, guiding them through to successful completion.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with employers, promoting apprenticeship opportunities and supporting workforce development needs.
  • Deliver training, assessment and reviews in line with apprenticeship, awarding body and funding requirements.
  • Conduct assessment and internal verification activities to support quality assurance and achievement claims.
  • Maintain accurate learner records, reports and documentation in line with College policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement activities and self-assessment processes.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, employers and external organisations to deliver outstanding apprenticeship provision.
