Wage
£15,600 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices Minimum wage rates (opens in new tab)
This is a fixed-term apprenticeship opportunity. For the right person, there may be an opportunity to progress into a permanent role with Change Grow Live following successful completion of the apprenticeship, with salary reviewed accordingly.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
In this role you'll be working as part of our Learning & Organisational Development team, supporting the delivery, administration and continuous improvement of learning programmes across Change Grow Live.
You'll support:
- Apprenticeship programmes, which are delivered through external training providers, by helping coordinate learner journeys, provider relationships, records and reporting.
- Accredited and regulated learning programmes, which are delivered internally to staff and volunteers, by supporting administration, learner engagement and quality processes.
You'll:
- Maintain accurate learner records across relevant systems and databases.
- Support the development of reports and dashboards to help the team understand learner participation, progress, completion and outcomes.
- Collect, analyse and present learning data to identify trends and support decision-making.
- Support data quality checks and help ensure information is accurate, timely and meaningful.
- Provide administrative support for learner onboarding, registration, certification and completion processes.
- Coordinate communications between learners, managers, training providers and awarding bodies.
- Support audits, quality reviews and compliance activities.
- Help gather learner feedback and evaluation information to understand the impact of learning.
- Contribute ideas for improving processes, systems and reporting approaches.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Learning & Organisational Development and wider teams.
As part of the role, you'll complete a Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship, developing skills in collecting, analysing and presenting data, while applying your learning directly to real organisational challenges.
Where you'll work
This role offers the flexibility to work predominantly from home, while providing opportunities to connect with colleagues through occasional office-based working days, team activities and learning events. We value the importance of staying connected as a national team and, where travel to a CGL office outside of your base location is required, we will support with reasonable travel expenses.
Training
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

What you'll learn
Course contents
- Select and migrate data from already identified sources.
- Format and save datasets.
- Summarise, analyse and explain gathered data.
- Combine data sets from multiple sources and present in format appropriate to the task.
- Use tools and/or apply basic statistical methods to identify trends and patterns in data.
- Identify faults and cleanse data to improve data quality, for example identifying gaps, duplicate entries, outliers and unusual variances, including cross-checking across data elements or between data sources.
- Audit data results for maintenance of data quality, reviewing a data set once all sources are combined, to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency and traceability from original data.
- Demonstrate the different ways of communicating meaning from data in line with audience requirements.
- Produce clear and consistent documentation of the data provided to others and of actions completed. Where appropriate or mandated by the working context, this documentation should use standard organisational templates.
- Store, manage and distribute data in compliance with organisational, national, sector specific standards and or legislation.
- Considers sustainability and ways to reduce impact. For example, using cloud storage, sharing links to files, avoid storing multiple versions of files, and reducing the use of physical handouts of documentation.
- Parse data against standard formats, and test and assess confidence in the data and its integrity.
- Operate collaboratively in a working context that accounts for, and takes advantage of, the roles, skills and activities of others, especially those interacting with the same data sets or working towards a common goal.
- Prioritise own activities within the context of the duties to be performed, taking account of any known or expected impact on others.
- Follows equity, diversity and inclusion policies in the organisation for a common goal.
- Demonstrate the ability to use different tools and methods to formulate and utilise effective prompts to research, apply, and evaluate data transformation techniques.

Training schedule
Your apprenticeship training will be delivered fully online by Cambridge Spark, allowing you to complete your learning flexibly alongside your role at Change Grow Live. You will access learning through Cambridge Spark’s online learning platform, with support from a dedicated Data Mentor and Learner Success Coach.

The programme includes online learning, practical activities and workplace-based projects, enabling you to apply your learning directly to your role and support the development of data reporting across Change Grow Live.

The apprenticeship is delivered by Cambridge Spark, a specialist provider focused on helping organisations build digital and data capability. They work with employers and apprentices to provide high-quality, practical learning programmes that support career development.
The apprenticeship follows a structured programme of learning, combining taught content, practical assignments, progress reviews and support from experienced tutors and mentors. Throughout the programme, you will work towards completing your apprenticeship alongside your role at Change Grow Live, with opportunities to apply your learning in a real workplace environment.

We're looking for someone who is keen to learn, enjoys working with data and wants to develop a career where information can be used to make a difference. You'll:
