We are currently recruiting 3 Apprentices to join our Lorient team in Newton Abbot. Lorient is a leading manufacturer of fire and smoke sealing systems, recognised for quality and innovation.
Available Opportunities
We are looking for motivated individuals to join us in the following areas:
Engineering Apprentice (x 2)
Responsibilities:
- Support improvements in assembly and primary processes
- Assist with automation initiatives
- Apply engineering principles, such as Flow, TAKT and Value Analysis
- Contribute to reducing operational costs and improving efficiency

Customer Services Apprentice (x 1)
Responsibilities:
- Manage customer orders and enquiries
- Deliver a professional, efficient, and solution-focused service
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams
- Support our commitment to excellence in customer experience
What You’ll Gain

Your Responsibilities
During your apprenticeship, you will:
- Attend college or training sessions to meet academic requirements
- Manage and prioritise your workload effectively
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
About You
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have a genuine interest in their chosen field
- Are enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn
- Hold GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grades 9–4 in Maths and English
- Are self-motivated with strong organisational skills
- Demonstrate logical and methodical problem-solving abilities
- Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Perform well under pressure and meet deadlines
