Approved Electrician

Vacancy: Approved Electrician (Full-Time, Permanent)

Location: Lossiemouth, Scotland Organization: Richard Irvin (an RSK Group company)

We are recruiting for an Approved Electrician to join our dedicated team of engineers, operations staff, project managers, and compliance specialists. Based in Scotland, this is a full-time, permanent role aligned with our mission to deliver tailored solutions to our clients.

Our team operates across the UK, ensuring you’re always close to the support you need. Our expertise spans public and private sector services, including advising, managing, and leading facilities management (FM) contracts and projects.


Responsibilities

As an Approved Electrician, your role includes:

  • Conducting electrical services patrols, planned preventive maintenance (PPM tasks), installations, and reactive repairs.
  • Diagnosing and remediating faults within existing electrical installations.
  • Collaborating with clients and main contractors to update progress, address PPM needs, and assist with minor quote preparation.
  • Ensuring all works are conducted in accordance with:
    • Company Health & Safety procedures
    • Current electrical regulations (installations, record-keeping, and testing).
  • Overseeing procurement and material delivery against project specifications.
  • Representing the company on-site, showcasing our capabilities to clients.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful, candidates must have:

  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
  • A current IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certificate.
  • A full, clean, and current driver’s licence.
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently while consulting with clients or contractors.
  • Completion of the SQA Certificate in Electrical Installations.
