Aquaculture Revenues Manager

Crown Estate Scotland has an exciting permanent full-time opportunity to join their team as an Aquaculture Revenues Manager.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing revenues and expenditures for the Aquaculture portfolio, ensuring adherence to rent-related procedures, tenant performance monitoring, and rent/royalty collection in line with strategic goals, processes, policies, and business planning.
  • Maintaining day-to-day ownership and management of aquaculture revenues, including liaising with CES Finance on system and procedural matters.
  • Keeping comprehensive records of finfish tenant production, site usage, rents (minimum, nursery, alternate use), and ensuring records are up-to-date for portfolio management and auditing purposes.
  • Ensuring the property management system (Propman) is current with invoicing and revenue data.
  • Managing an efficient aquaculture charging and arrears system, providing value to both Crown Estate Scotland and its tenants.
  • Overseeing contractors conducting annual finfish tenant audits, ensuring accurate production reporting and rent calculations.
  • Preparing quarterly reports for the Head of Aquaculture and wider CES management.
  • Issuing aquaculture portfolio revenue invoices, as well as acting as the principal point of contact for aquaculture revenue matters.
  • Liaising with Aquaculture Asset Management colleagues on Lease Option Agreement charges, receipting, and non-compliance issues, and providing information for legal action in consultation with the Head of Aquaculture.
  • Assisting tenant companies/individuals experiencing cash flow difficulties, agreeing payment schedules with relevant stakeholders.
  • Raising Purchase Orders and goods receipting for aquaculture assets where necessary.
  • Supporting auditing efforts by providing evidence and contextual explanations for internal and external samples.

The contractual working location is Edinburgh, but flexible working arrangements are encouraged to fit the role’s needs.


##Salary & Benefits

  • Starting salary: £50,521, with scope for progression and annual cost-of-living rises.
  • Maximum salary: £58,653.
  • 25 days annual leave (increasing to 30 days after 4 years’ service), plus 11.5 public/privilege days.
  • Participation in Civil Service pension scheme.

About You

Requirements

You should have:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent experience (technical/financial).
  • Proven experience in managing complex revenue streams, with forecasting and performance tracking against targets.
  • Experience managing commercial contracts or leasing agreements.
  • Experience in financial reporting and variance analysis.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office IT systems.
