A&R Outbound Sales Representative (Remote, Freelance)

This is a remote, freelance (self-employed) role where creativity meets opportunity. As an A&R Outbound Sales Representative, you’ll discover, nurture, and champion emerging talent while aligning their career paths with our PR services.
About the Role
We seek a passionate, driven, and resilient sales specialist who loves music and understands the value of one-on-one connections. Whether you’re coming directly from the industry or transitioning from sales, your enthusiasm and commercial acumen are what matter most.
Key Responsibilities
Requires discovery, persistence, and relationship-building—both with artists and our team. Daily tasks include:

Identify and Source New Artists
- Search Spotify, YouTube, and social media to spot emerging talent.
- Assess potential fits for Liberty Music PR before outreach.

Initial Pitch & Outreach
- Craft personalised proposals outlining service benefits.
- Understand and address artist pain points to drive conversion.

Close Deals with Artists, Labels, & Managers
- Seal partnerships aligned with their career goals.
- Track negotiations to fruition without losing momentum.

Artist Relationship Management
- Be the primary point of contact, guiding them through PR campaigns.
- Proactively address queries to ensure high satisfaction rates.

Long-Term Relationships
- Foster trust-based partnerships—future-proofing repeat business and referrals.
- Consistently exceed expectations to cultivate advocate relationships.

Team Coordination
- Relay needs, campaign updates, and feedback efficiently and accurately.
- Support internal cross.team delivery of exceptional service.

CRM Management
- Maintain a clean and up-to-date CRM with lead records and notes.

Stay Ahead of Trends
- Research playlists, press opportunities, radio, and TikTok algorithm shifts.
- Offer strategic advice grounded in current industry movements.
Essential Requirements

Unmatched passion for music
- Whether indie, hip-hop, pop, or beyond—your taste and curiosity drive the selection process.

Minimum 2 years in Sales (lead gen/prospecting preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to convert connections into opportunities.

Productivity mindset
- Self-motivated with strong project management skills—organising follow-ups and tracking leads.

- Treats failure as data; constantly refines and pivots approach.
