Position: Arabic Language Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $10 - $41/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role Responsibilities
- Record clear, high-quality audio clips in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) to support the development of AI speech models.
- Assess and annotate phonetic, pronunciation, and intonation data with linguistic accuracy.
- Evaluate and provide feedback on speech recognition outputs, identifying patterns and inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with the customer's team to enhance data collection processes and standards.
- Document recording activities accurately and maintain organized data sets.
- Participate in discussions to improve AI workflows by sharing practical insights from the field.

Requirements
- Have native-level proficiency in Modern Standard Arabic, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess a solid understanding of phonetics, phonology, and pronunciation nuances in Arabic.
- Experience in audio recording, voice acting, podcasting, or audio engineering is a plus but not mandatory.
- Be comfortable using recording devices and audio software to produce clear speech samples.
- Demonstrate high attention to detail when listening, annotating, and evaluating speech data.
