Description

We are Arbtech. Our team of over 100 passionate professionals supports more than 8,000 projects each year, offering everything from ecology surveys to tree assessments and protected species monitoring. Our team of arboricultural surveyors and experienced consultants undertake a wide range of surveys, including tree risk assessments, planning and development (BS5837) surveys, as well as arboricultural monitoring and supervision works. They provide professional advice on an assortment of tree-related queries, such as TPOs, tree ID, development design and planting, to name a few!

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone reliable, proactive, organised and solutions-oriented — with sharp attention to detail and a willingness to think outside the box.

A successful candidate will ideally be someone with experience in conducting basic tree surveys and data collection, looking to grow their knowledge and has the goal of progressing into a consultant role. They will need to be willing to travel regularly within their ‘area’ to undertake surveys, deliver reports within client deadlines, and manage their own workload/admin.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage own workload and maintain a high level of admin organisation
  • Liaise with clients, booking in surveys and answering customer queries
  • Undertake both BS5837 and tree risk surveys
  • Collaborate with team members regarding inter-disciplinary topics

Position Requirements

Required

  • Have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A self-motivated attitude and a willingness to learn quickly

Desirable skills/experience

  • Level 3 Arb Qualification or higher
  • LANTRA Professional Tree Inspection (PTI)
  • Previous experience in tree surveying (tree risk and/or BS5837)
  • Auto CAD
