Role Description
The Arborist role at Nicks Green Trees is a full-time, on-site position based in Edgware. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Climbing and pruning trees
- Performing crown reductions and removals where appropriate
- Conducting health assessments for trees in residential gardens
- Providing clear, honest advice to clients
- Working safely with chainsaws and other equipment
- Coordinating with team members
- Protecting property during operations
- Ensuring all sites are left clean and tidy
- Supporting compliance with local regulations and conservation requirements
- Assisting with occasional commercial projects

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in arboriculture, including practical experience with tree care, pruning, and safe climbing techniques.
- Proficiency in forestry-related practices, such as understanding woodland management principles and safe use of tree work equipment.
- Ability to accurately perform tree identification and assess tree health, species-specific needs, and potential risks.
- Certified Arborist status or equivalent arboriculture certification, with up-to-date training on industry best practices.
- Hands-on experience working with trees in residential settings, including familiarity with conservation rules and neighbor communication.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, including use of PPE, adherence to risk assessments, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Good physical fitness, comfort working at height, and capacity to perform manual tasks in varied weather conditions.
- Clear, respectful communication skills and a customer-focused approach to service.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to job sites in Harrow and surrounding areas.
