Salary: Up to £13.00 per hour dependant on age

The Role

The Arcade attendant will oversee the daily operation of the Games Room and games machines located in the main complex, ensuring all machines are in good working order, clean and in a condition safe for public use. In addition, daily duties will include stocking and cleaning of machines, interacting with customers and fixing of minor issues.

The main goal is to make sure every customer receives the best experience ability while conforming to company policy, procedures, and good practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers to use the gaming machines in the main complex and games room.
  • Assisting guests with the contactless card payment system – returning any credit to guests on the card for use or providing complimentary credits.
  • Explain operation of games to customers.
  • Listen to customer complaints and assist with solutions.
  • Perform minor repairs and replace parts.
  • Notify maintenance of any maintenance issues.
  • Observe guest's behaviour and ensure orderliness, ask disruptive guests to leave.
  • Record machine malfunctions and repairs for compliance.
  • Ensure the safety of staff and other guests in and around the games room.
  • Empty bins and litter picking.
  • Regularly clean touch points.
  • Arranging periodic inspections.
  • Enforcing gambling legislation.
  • Stock control using the company's stock control system, allocating stock to areas correctly.
  • Removing obstructions such as bent coins or foreign material from coin acceptors.
  • Observe machine operation to determine whether malfunctions are present.
  • Using keys to access machines and storing keys securely when not in use.

  • Previous arcade experience is advantageous
  • Provide excellent customer service to our guests including compliance with gambling legislation and age restrictions
  • Ability to maintain detailed service, stock and prize records
  • Availability to work days, evenings and weekends
  • Must be 18+
