Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Architect, we'll count on you to:
- Have recent experience working on diverse and complex social infrastructure projects (including health, education, and science/technology) and data centre projects.
- Lead aspects of the planning and detailing of architectural projects for architectural projects through all stages of design, while under the supervision of a Project Lead/Project Manager.
- Support the development and maintenance of project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Facilitate and lead owner/clients, internal, and stakeholder meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.
- Coordinate work of single or multi-discipline teams throughout the project’s life cycle (from development and initiation to close-out), while under supervision of a Project Manager.
- Good working knowledge and experience within the UK planning and building regulations systems.
- Ensure work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (i.e. UK Building Regulations, Standards, and Healthcare Guidance).
- Participate in QA/QC and technical reviews.
- Perform other duties as needed.

You’ll be working closely with the multi-disciplinary design teams, clients, and contractors in the UK and Europe.
Required Requirements
- Registered Architect - ARB
- A minimum of 3-5 years practical and industry experience in the UK (i.e. social infrastructure projects (including health, science, and technology, education, and community projects) and/or data centre projects).
- Passion for creativity and design.
- Excellent collaboration skills, good self-organization, and strong ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effective facilitation with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge and experience applying relevant codes, standards, and regulations in design and planning.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.
- Intermediate level knowledge and experience with design software such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office.
- Understanding of computational and parametric design.
- Graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in architecture.
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and 3-D Studio Max but not required.
- Rhino and Grasshopper experience.
- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design.
Required Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field.
- 3+ years’ experience of working with Data Centre projects is desirable.
- Registered Architect.
- Understanding and experience of various building contracts.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule).
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in the use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and processes.
- Demonstrated graphic presentation skills.
- Must have experience in preparation and layout of architectural contract documents and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of building regulations and good planning skills.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
