Architect Vacancy – London Office (Hybrid)
Role: Project Architect
About the Role
ECD Architects is seeking a **qualified Part 3 Architect with 2+ years of hands-on experience to join our London office in a full-time/permanent hybrid role.
The ideal candidate will take direct responsibility for at least one major project, ensuring timely delivery, stellar design standards, and strict budget compliance while operating within a team structure and reporting to an Associate or Associate Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, develop, and refine project-related documents, including:
- Design drawings, 3D models, photorealistic images, and technical schematics
- Other project outputs aligned with the brief and timescales
- Lead or contribute to specific design and project development areas as assigned by the Project Leader
- Maintain continuing professional development (CPD) and an annual Personal Development Plan (PDP), adhering to RIBA/RIAS standards
- Ensure full compliance with ECD Architects’ procedures, standards, and quality protocols
- Accurately track time spent on projects and collaborate with Project Directors to ensure budgetary boundaries and timelines are respected
- Support internal team coordination, fostering seamless workflow across designers, technicians, and other roles
Requirements & Technical Skills
Essential
- Fully qualified Part 3 Architect (with experience spanning UK-based architectural practice)
- Proven capability to lead and advance projects independently while contributing effectively to a team
- Strong client management skills and confidence in design-making decisions
- Technical competence in delivery, from brief interpretation to schematic design, documentation, and delivery
- Integrated Project Information Coordination skills—understanding architectural oversight in multi-disciplinary settings
- BIM experience desired, with ability to generate projects using:
- Revit (preferred)
- CAD (AutoCAD and others)
- photonrealistic visualisation tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Rhino, KeyShot)

Technical Proficiency
- Advanced native(level) expertise with:
- Revit (BIM)
- Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Industry standard applications supporting design management
Qualifications & Experience Summary
