Overview
Cohanim Architecture is looking for a talented, creative and motivated Project Architect or Senior Architect to join our practice in Henley-on-Thames.
The successful candidate will become part of a creative and collaborative team, with direct involvement across different stages of design and delivery. The role would suit a newly qualified Architect or an experienced Architect looking to take on greater project responsibility within a design-led professional practice.
Role
You will be involved in the design, coordination and delivery of projects across different RIBA stages, including:
- Design development and concept design
- Planning applications and listed building consent information
- Technical design, detailing and drawing packages
- Revit/BIM-based project delivery integrating multidisciplinary modelling
- Coordination with clients, consultants, contractors and statutory authorities
- Preparation and review of schedules, specifications and supporting project documentation
- Consultant coordination and project information management
- Taking responsibility for the coordination, quality and timely delivery of project information, appropriate to experience
- Tender and construction-stage information
- Supporting procurement and contract administration where appropriate
- Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members where relevant to experience

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Proactive and able to manage a multifaceted workflow
- Technically capable, with good construction knowledge
- Organised, self-disciplined and motivated to produce work to a high standard
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional and confident in communicating with clients, consultants and contractors
- Able to manage deadlines and coordinate information clearly
- Willing to take responsibility for project tasks and deliverables
- Willing to contribute to the wider development of the practice
Skills Required
- ARB registered Architect, or Part 3 qualified
- Good working knowledge of Revit
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- Good understanding of UK planning processes and Building Regulations
- Experience preparing coordinated drawing packages and technical information
- Interest or experience in listed buildings, refurbishment and heritage-sensitive design
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience coordinating with consultants and managing project information
- Contract administration experience beneficial
