The Role: Architectural Technician

Success in this position means being drivepushed by exploring ideas and transforming plans into reality. Your day-to-day will include:

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and preparing relevant technical plans and documents for major planning submissions, ensuring they align with the region’s budget.
  • Preparing applications for planning permission and supporting their approval.
  • Collaborating on-site to manage project execution, ensuring plans translate seamlessly into build quality.
  • Handling queries, troubleshooting challenges, and resolving planning-related issues.
  • Liaising with internal and external teams (planners, architects, site managers) to ensure smooth progress.

What You Bring to the Role

  • Past experience in residential design or new-build technical departments is essential.
  • Minimum qualification: HNC in Construction or a related field.
  • Technical fluency: Proficiency with AutoCAD and basic IT skills (MS Excel, Word, databases).
  • Key GCSEs: 5 passes (Grade 4/C or above), including Maths & English.
